Ordinary acute rhinitis, also called catarrh, coryza, or is an acute inflammation of nasal catarrhal type. Are etiologic agents of viral nature. Transmission is through direct contact and airborne: infection remains localized in the nasal-pharyngeal mucosa and the cellular damage occurring viral multiplication which favor bacterial superinfection.
Predisposing factors for respiratory illness (acute rhinitis) are: cold, air pollution exposure in crowded environments, nasal obstruction, physical and mental fatigue, alcoholism, smoking, malnutrition. Runny noses (acute rhinitis) begins with malaise, feeling cold, fatigue, headache, anorexia, nasal dryness and epifaringelui, nasal itching, sneezing, nasal obstruction, rhinorrhea serosal subsequently appear, tearing, hipoosemie sometimes deafness and epistaxis.

Treatment of cold preparations (acute rhinitis) include:
